Our Story

Sergio Visús Vela

Breeder & Founder

My name is Sergio Visus, and I’ve been breeding Iberian horses since 2002 at Yeguada de la Huerta, in the Cinco Villas region on the border of Aragón and Navarra.

Over more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of connecting horses with riders across the globe — from the United States to Europe and Australia. Each client taught me something important: the best partnerships happen when there’s trust, honesty, and real connection — not just between rider and horse, but between all of us involved in the process.

That’s why I created Iberian Equestrian Experience. I wanted to offer something different — not a cold transaction, but a journey. A chance for you to come to Spain, meet our horses in the fields where they were born, train with Roberto, experience our culture, and find the partner you’ve been looking for.

Whether you’re here to buy a horse or simply to immerse yourself in the world of Iberian horsemanship, you’ll be welcomed as a guest, not a client.

Roberto Armendáriz

Horseman & Head Trainer

Roberto Armendáriz has been around horses since childhood and has worked professionally for over 20 years. Based at Escuela de Equitación Roberto Armendáriz in Noain, Navarra, he is widely respected across Spain for his exceptional ability to start and train young Iberian horses.

What sets Roberto apart is his intuition. He has a rare gift for reading a horse’s mind before tension or resistance ever begins. His approach is quiet, patient, and remarkably effective — no fights, no force. He guides each horse so smoothly that they find themselves doing exactly what he asks, willingly and without stress.

The results speak for themselves. International riders who come to try our horses consistently praise the quality of contact and connection Roberto achieves — soft, steady hands and horses that truly seek the bit.

During your experience with us, Roberto will personally guide your riding sessions, helping you connect with your horse and understand the principles of classical Iberian horsemanship.

Why We Do This

We don’t just sell horses. We create connections.

Every rider who visits us becomes part of our story. We believe that finding the right horse is not about browsing a catalog — it’s about experiencing a moment of recognition, that feeling when you know you’ve found your partner.

That’s why we invite you here. To walk our fields, to feel the Spanish sun, to share a meal with us, and to discover — not just a horse — but a piece of this land and our way of life.
